First Harvest

Greetings.

Yes indeed. Apart from the continuously giving rhubarb, as promised,  I have cropped loads of spuds. I'm absolutely delighted. Three plants and I have half a bucket full. Fantastic. Peas....loads. Broad beans....not so many....a bit disappointing but nevertheless a good start. Some yellow courgettes.....lovely. And rhubarb ....of course! So all in all am feeling very pleased with myself.
And here it all is.......
WHOOP! Fantastic. Great. Errr.....

Keep enjoying!

Weekend..

Nigh!

Greetings

Well it's been a mixed Bag. Sun and rain and warm and dull and sun. On the brightside all seems to be liking it!

Welcome Kazakstan! and I'm just going to throw in  SUPERMAN SUPERMAN SUPERMAN!!!!
Yes Henry CAVILL came to Jersey with Russel CROW and  Amy ADAMS. WOW. You all know he comes from Jersey right?

Anyway back to reality.......four eggs today. It's chaos up there. Two escapees into the big girls enclosure with Di taking up residence on any egg that doesn't move!

Toms are going rampant , flowers everywhere and my cucamellons are taking over too!
Going to be taking peas, broad beans and spuds this weekend and yesterday I had a massive Iceberg lettuce. Fab.

Enjoy.

Almost....

....droughtlike out there.

Greetings.

All growing on the garden front despite very little rain of late. Had my first few strawberries. Broads nearly croppable and peas podding up nicely.  Still harvesting rhubarb.Courgettes looking good.
Just strung the toms which are flowering already. Talking of flowers my spuds are too so they won't be long now.

Pip has segregated the chickens as we think the big girls have been picking on Dianna a bit much.  Looking to get a separate run for them. And  we got 6 eggs the other day! Wow!.

Trooping of the Colour the other day. Makes one proud to be British!

New Arrivals!

Gretings.

Very eggcited. Geddit? Our new Ladies are Light Sussex but there's nothing light about them. No offence Ladies but they are three times the size of our current crew. On introduction to the old mob there was a little feistyness from Speckles ( fair play she was here first) but she was firmly put in her place by the new arrivals. A visit this afternoon after 24 hours and all is calm with 3 from the old crew and two from the new three. Judging by the debris inside there was probably a bit more "sorting out" done behind closed doors.Nuff said!
And here they are......
The Old Crew (minus Di who's gone broody)

And The Rolly Polly's!

Commando

Gardening.

Greetings.

What do you do with a tray of giant pumpkins when you've got no room for them? Weelllll....you raid a vacant neglected plot and go commando.....several plants planted in little spaces that noone knows about....and you just hope for the best. Brill.

Rest of the Plot on track....load of hoeing done to keep the varmit weeds down. Water becoming a bit of a worry as Summer seems to be here! Sun Sun Sun!!!

Loving it!

Weekend impending.

Greetings.
I've had a busy week at work so I apologise for neglecting you. It's been a mixed bag weatherwise....a fair bit of rain and a fair bit of sun. Some would say ideal conditions for growing really. Ang things growing they are. Bumper looking strawberry crop. Fab.
