Superb...

Sunshine.
Greetings.

It's been brilliant all week! Not a drop has been spilt!

Sowing going on.....a bunch of asters, hollyhocks delphiniums and something else which eludes me at the mo. And on the veg front...icebergs ahead...beetroot....cabbage and sprouts (yep have to go in now) and a load of different chillies...see what happens this year. Lots of packets that say I can sow direct out...you know parsnips...carrots etc etc but I'm going to leave them for another coupple of weeks as it's still cold . All in all ....fabby.

Have I mentioned free chicken run?  been collected and now powerwashed and all spick and span ready for some girls....although the nesting box bit needs a bit of gentle repair.  Hope I'm not repeating myself...repeating myself.

On the inside...kitchen finished....almost....am changing the downlighters and having all sorts of trouble with the dimmer switch...Grrr!

Keep on keeping on!

Prayers.....

....answered!

Greetings!!!!

Whoop de woo! A brilliantly sunny day. And you know what that means.....out and aboutness. Yes indeedy. Although I started by putting another coat on the kitchen and fitting new downlights. Then I went and got some cheapy 2nd hand ones for the extension pert of the kitchen.... and then I went out!
In the greenhouse almost all my peas are up and doing fine. And it was hot! It's begining to feel a lot like Spring. A bit more digging done. So glad I have a slight slope as no standing water but the ground is well......satutrated. Water butt nearly full though...just in case we have a sudden drought.
I think  two more weeks before the main sow....whadya think? Good to grow.

Keep on doing what we all like doing!

Somewhere over our rainbow of despair there is a ray of sunshine. There must be. Although my optimism is wearing a bit thin. Grrrrrr!

On the bright side  have I told you about my new chicken shed? Probably have already but I don't care repeating it. Chicken shed....Free! Whoop.

Spring is kinda springing in my home garden. Daffs and crocus' Narce!

....needed in the kitchen!

Greetings.

Yep its persisting down again. Bloomin horizontal at the rugby today. Fair play 30 of the little rugger fellas turned up and gave it a good go!  We however made diddly squat. Hey ho....rough with the smooth.

So now the question is....after a lovely toasted bacon and egg sarnie and a nice hot cuppa..... 2nd coat or an afternoon of Ireland vs England at the 6 Nations......decisions decisions.............Decision made. Rugby!

Keep on bailing!

Incredible...

....day today!

Greetings

I forgive you USA!.......It hasn't rained all day! And what a day it's been. Girls out at the Dog Show and both out tomorrow so I've been giving #2 van a good going over in readiness for the rugby. (Talking of which...well done Ireland and better luck next time Wales)

This afternoon a visit to th Plot and a good load of digging done. I'd say a good 2/3rds of the plot dug. Of the remaining 1/3rd, 2/3rds are devoted to the 300 ( which, by the way, are, I'm very glad to say, doing fine)  and the remaining 1/3rd needs digging. So all in all not far to go!

My rhubarb is coming through nicely and the peas I put in a little while ago are begining to show. Great!

A little more digging and some tidying up and I'll be ready for action!
And guess what?....our neighbour says it's ok to keep chickens! Pip and me are overjoyed as Pip has a perfect patch at the back of his plot. Gotta get building.

A little bit of good weather makes all the difference. And I must say I'm delighted that it really hasn't made much difference to the Plot...no flooding but nice and soft. Brill!

Hope you've all been getting out and about....gotta do it while it lasts!
